Mixed Media:

In my anatomic creations, I made 8 X 10’ sets and created sculptural objects using different materials including clay, plaster of paris, soft metals, wire and paint.

Polaroid Transfers:

DINING ALONE In the Company of Solitude’ (Title of Series and Book) I

This longterm project started in the late 1970’s and I worked on it for decades on and off until it was published (Daylight; 2021). Throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s I made polaroid transfers of these images which I mostly shot on film.

Encaustic Tiles:

For this work, I chose to learn how to use encaustic wax and to make this series of butterfly portraits. This process allowed me to use paint, and colored pencils as well as photography, to create something special -as a tribute to my late mother.

Poloroid Transfers and prints on Kozo Paper:

My Castle; My Home
(Title of Series)

I lived on Waverly Place in Greenwich Village, NY after I graduated from the University of Wisconsin (Madison). Inspired by my travels, I would transform my partment into another place or time and would host a dinner party for my family and one for my friends atleast once a year during the holiday season. I made poloroid transfers of these events and then printed many of the images onto kozo paper, years later.

Gold Leaf:

My desire to learn how to work with Gold Leaf and to print my images for this project on Vellum, to then apply the gold leaf, was very intentional. For this work, I wanted to allude to the beautiful gilded monograph covers I had seen while in India during my visit at the Sera Mey and Sera Jey Monasteries. I used poetic license to then gild small images which I placed in oblong book matts to allude to the Tibetan Buddhist scriptures. Please see link to read more .
